Enhancing the Health of the Academic Community, FISIP Undip Promotes Healthy Campus Program

Semarang (2/17) The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Universitas Diponegoro has just conducted several Healthy Campus programs, namely FISIP Bergerak and Rikkes (Free Medical Check-up) in collaboration with Kimia Farma. The agenda of the FISIP Bergerak this time was a joint morning gymnastics activity that started a series of Healthy Campus programs on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 06.00 GMT+7.
Also presented in this Morning Gymnastics activity were the Vice Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Teguh Yuwono, M.Pol. Admin., Vice Dean of Resources, Ika Riswanti Putranti, Ph.D., lecturers and education staff within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro.

Medical check-up activity process

In a series of Healthy Campus activities, the entire FISIP Undip academic community also had the opportunity to conduct free medical check-ups provided by Kimia Farma.
“The FISIP Healthy Campus event is a very good program. We get healthy and fun like there are gymnastics and medical check-ups. Especially the elderly so they know their blood pressure, cholesterol, uric acid, blood clots and so on,” said Zulfah, one of the Finance Subdivision Staff of FISIP Undip. She also hoped that this kind of activity would continue to be improved.

Morning Gymnastics Activity

The Chairperson of the FISIP Undip Healthy Campus Team, Anis Qomariyah, S.A.B., M.Ling., explained that this activity was aimed to realize higher education as an institution that integrated health by promoting health as part of university culture. The Business Administration lecturer also said that all students were expected to participate, not only lecturers and education staff. In addition, with Healthy Campus activities, it is hoped that the FISIP Undip academic community will begin to realize how to live healthier, with healthier nutritional intake, as well as increase physical activity to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases such as cholesterol, hypertension and so on.
