Hendrar Prihadi, Mayor Of Semarang, One Of Undip Graduates With Cumlaude Predicate At The 164th Graduation

Semarang – Central Java (9/11). Universitas Diponegoro had held the 164th Graduation Ceremony. The event was carried out online at Prof Soedarto, S.H building, Tembalang campus, Semarang. The series of the ceremony was held from November 10 – 11, 2021 using Zoom platform and in live streaming via Undip TV Youtube channel. “Receiving a cumlaude predicate, the Mayor of Semarang, H. Hendrar Prihadi, S.E., M.M will represent the graduates to give a speech on the 2nd stage of the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. The other graduates who will also deliver their speeches are Salsabila from the Faculty of Law on the 1st stage, Ramandhika Alief Nurahayu P from the Faculty of Engineering on the 2nd stage. Then, Berlian Risqi Rahmadhani from the Faculty of Economy and  Business, and Muhammad Habirur Rahman from Faculty of Science and Mathematics”, said Dr Agus Suherman, S.Pi, M.Si. as the Head of Secretariate and Protocol Universitas Diponegoro. “According to the schedule, the Mayor of Semarang, H. Hendrar Pihadi, S.E., M.M will be graduated on the 2nd stage of the first day, namely on Wednesday (10/11). The Mayor of Semarang, H. Hendrar Prihadi, S.E., M.M, had just finished his study program (Doctoral program) and deserved to bear the Doctor title after taking his Doctoral examinations at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) on Wednesday (29/9/2021). The man who has served as the Mayor of Semarang for two periods had graduated with a cumlaude predicate. Hendrar Prihadi or who is also called Hendi wrote his scientific work with the title Model Tata Kelola Kota Cerdas Semarang. The Mayor who was born on Semarang, March 30, 1971 explained that it was inspired by the urban problems and challenges in this global era, not to mention in the City of Semarang. From that problems and challenges, Hendi then looked for the smart solution and concept. Agus added that the number of graduates joining the ceremony on November 10-11, 2021 were as many as 2.563 students which consisted of 29 Doctoral students, 200 Master students, 53 Specialist program students, 118 Profession program students, and 1.577 Bachelor students. There were also 544 students from the 3-year Diploma program and 42 students from the 4-year Diploma program.

“The Undip Graduates are well-prepared job seekers who have the sense of competitiveness and have the potential to be reliable job creators. The excellent educational performance is proven by the first rank that Undip had attained on the Ranking QS Employability which was announced on September 23, 2021. It shows the speed and accuracy of the Undip graduates in getting a job,” he concluded.
